Fisher Offshore supports Subsea 7 in Gorgon project

Fisher Offshore has completed its first fully integrated installation and support project in the Gorgon field off the coast of Western Australia.

The £600,000 contract with Subsea 7 S.A. saw the supply of a range of winch machinery alongside the provision of personnel to oversee the equipment installation process on the Sapura 3000 vessel, which will be on-board for a total of six months and used on a variety of lifting jobs.

Success was due to hard work and professionalism of the team of staff - headed by operations director Jack Davidson and including project, hydraulic and electrical engineers – who provided training for technicians and deck-hands on-board the vessel, promoting the safe and efficient operation of the installed machinery.

Fast response from expert team - Jack Davidson explains:

"The team responded to demand for an integrated offering and we now have the expertise, solutions and personnel in place to deliver to these requirements on a global scale. So much has happened this year and as a team we are incredibly proud to have completed this contract, in what is a first for the company, incorporating a number of our strengths and services into one complete project."

This is an exciting project as it signals Fisher Offshore's first foray into fully engineered solutions; a strategic move that enhances the capabilities of the company as its offering continues to grow, evolve and innovate.
