Supporting Fugro Subsea Services Ltd. with equipment deployment in the North Sea
Scope of works:
James Fisher Offshore was contracted by Fugro Subsea Services Ltd. to provide support for the deployment of various types of equipment including hoses and clump weight, to complete the flooding, cleaning and gauging of the various pipelines installed by Saipem across two different projects.
Saipem Hejre in Danish sector
12" gas export pipeline and oil export pipeline
- Gas export pipeline 12" diameter at 24km length
- Oil export pipeline 12" diameter at 90km length
- Post pipe lay flooding, cleaning and gauging of OEP and GEP
- Post-flooding, cleaning and gauging strength testing of OEP and GEP
- Launch / propel isolation and leak test tool(s) / pig train
Saipem Cygnus in UK sector
24" gas export pipeline and ETS/trent isolation
- Gas export pipeline 24" diameter at 50.4km length
- Post trench flooding
- Post back-fill cleaning and gauging
- Launch/propel isolation and leak test tool(s) / pig train
Scope of supply:
- FA2i-MR-CE air winch c/w 150m of wire rope
- 270°, 1m radius overboarding chute
- HIAB200 marine crane
- 22kW electric safe area hydraulic power unit (HPU)
- 500Kgs clump weight and shackle
- Associated hoses and equipment
In addition to the provision of the above equipment James Fisher Offshore supplied an experienced technician to install and test the equipment prior to vessel mobilisation.
